Pacman Pixel Art Prints

Pacman Pixel Art Prints have been illustrated to celebrate one of the most iconic game characters ever created. Great for any game room or as a gift for a gamer.

Pacman was a maze arcade game developed by Namco in the early 1980's. The original Japanese title of 'Puck Man' was changed to Pacman for international releases as a preventative measure against defacement of the arcade machines by changing the P to an F.

The player controlled Pacman, who who had to eat all the dots on a maze while avoiding four colored ghosts (Inky, Blinky, Pinky and Clyde).

Pacman was developed in 1979 by Toru Iwatani (with a nine-man team). He wanted to make a game appealed to women as well as men.

Reportedly, a pizza with a slice removed was the inspiration of Pacman's design.

Pacman is considered important and influential, and it is commonly listed as one of the greatest video games of all time.

Nowadays, the Pacman character is the mascot of Bandai Namco Entertainment and has the highest brand awareness of any video game character in North America.
